Many folks might think learning to code is so kids can actually code an app. Honestly, that's not usually the case! Coding real-life apps is tough. Despite what the media says, your kid is not writing some million dollar app by themselves in a month. Instead, coding helps kid *solve problems*. Coding is all about debugging and logically thinking through the fix. Breaking a large problem into smaller parts, logical sequencing, these are all important problem solving skills for any kid (or adult!). A second benefit is confidence and passion in technology. There's plenty of time for kids to learn the latest real tech (which changes all the time), but the time to build passion for technology (and a foundational knowledge base) is when they're young!
What is the best coding language to learn as a beginner?
The truth is, Scratch is amazing for a beginner at ANY AGE. If someone is truly a beginner, a platform like Scratch can allow them to create and engage much more quickly. Older kids (say 11 and up) can soon move to a language like Python or Javascript. Just remember that it takes a LOT MORE work to get Python/Javascript to do the same thing as Scratch - so the kids will need some patience. No matter what anyone tells you please DO NOT start learning with Java or C++! Those languages are too advanced to start with, and we've seen it too often - kids will give up because it's so hard! Definition of backfiring!

I have to practically drag him out of his seat when the class is over to go home. He then is a chatter box about what he learned and what he is working on. This is in stark contrast to what I get from him when I pick him up from his normal school. As long as he doesn’t hack into the NSA or something with the skills he learns, this may be the single best use of money we spend on extra curricular activities all year.

She started with a weekly summer camp to try it out and to check if coding is something she would like. She loved it from the first day and was thrilled to work on her project coding a game. She was back for another week of camp and now goes to weekly classes. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and make learning fun for the kids. They provide updates after each week about what she worked on and about her progress. It's an excellent environment for the kids to get more engaged with technology and gain essential computer skills. Highly recommend it.

I searched for months on driving schools to see which would be the best for me to use and I'm so thankful I used this driving academy! Jeff is a very calm driving instructor who prioritizes you being comfortable behind the wheel. I did 5 lessons with Jeff in total and I have to say I learned so much driving with him. He knows how to keep conversation while also teaching which is great! And I'm happy to say because of him I have a license now so I'm very thankful for all the things he taught me!

Riley Welch: Seriously cannot recommend the NV Drive Academy enough. Jeff is an incredible instructor who was calm, patient, and very knowledgeable. He knows his stuff better than anyone and is SUPER accommodating to all types of schedules. He not only prepares you to become a safe, confident driver, but he also prepares you for the driving test that everyone always dreads. I did 3 2 hour lessons with him which also included a short practice before the drive test and the use of his car, and thanks to my time with him, I passed my test 1st try! Highly recommend you go with Jeff for new drivers of all ages as you will not be disappointed! Thanks Jeff!

Amanda Castilliano: Investing in driving lessons for our first teenage driver proved to be one of my best decisions. My second best decision was enrolling her with Las Vegas NV Driving School.If you're hesitant, I strongly encourage you to do it. Despite my assumption that my husband, who taught me to drive at 14, would handle teaching our daughter, it didn't happen as I planned... just like it's much harder coaching your own kids.My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons with Wendy, which significantly boosted her confidence as she had a much more calming presence than myself and my husband.What impressed me was their policy of not recommending a driving test unless they were confident in the student's ability to pass. Opting to rent their vehicle for the test was my child's preference, and it certainly wasn't in vain--she aced the test on her first try!Wendy consistently demonstrated punctuality, even surprising me at my door a few times when I was deeply engrossed in work and lost track of time.Thierry was an absolute delight to communicate with, adeptly handling all administrative matters. I opted to use Zelle for payments, which was incredibly convenient. They also accepted cash payments.When my next child is ready to drive, I will undoubtedly be sending her here as well.It's a true win-win situation--I get to maintain my sanity and they get quality lessons from someone that's a much better teacher than I am!Las Vegas is not very friendly for first time drivers, so I am glad there’s driving schools like this that will teach our children good habits to practice during the chaos on our roadways.
Roodle Noodle: The instructor I had was very clear on what I could do to improve and didn't let fixable mistakes go. She was my second teacher and I gained a whole new perspective on driving and I improved rapidly! She even drove with me to my college so I could learn the route and taught me stuff about it. If you do something wrong it won't be excused and it makes doing things right all the better since you know you did it perfect. I also had some nice conversations that helped ease my nerves, it was rather fun when we chatted!

I especially liked working with Thierry, who would respond to my text messages almost immediately. I just finished my class and definitely wanted to share a review. I contacted Henderson CPR 911 to find out information about getting into a class & from the beginning to the end it was a great experience. I was able to get into a class the week of my phone call and I’m so glad I chose this place. Oscar was my instructor & I didn’t feel intimated at all. He was professional yet fun & made me feel so comfortable while I was there. He kept me engaged & explained everything thoroughly. He’s a great people person so you really feel like you’re with a friend rather than an instructor which is kind of nice :) The process of everything was easy and quick overall. It was a great learning experience & I am definitely going to be referring my friends here!
I completed my BLS hands on session here. Oscar was very informative and provided great feedback during the course. I was a little concerned when it was at a private residence. However, it was in a very comfortable and safe environment. Oscar was accommodating by letting me bring my kid especially when sitters are hard to find. I would definitely recommend this instructor/course.

He was able to teach me at a pace that I was able to understand, and made it easy to learn. Anytime I had any questions or concerns, he would answer them. He is also very personable and could easily be your friend. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs the class.
