My aunt especially loved the salon so she could get her hair and nails done right in her community! Tammy, the staff, and the residents we met were so very kind and made us comfortable from the jump. A wonderful place to call home!

My visit to Cactus Valley Retirement Community with my grandma was truly delightful. The community shared a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the tour left us thoroughly impressed. One standout feature that caught my grandma's attention was the on-property theater, which screens movies twice a day and boasts a seating capacity of up to 150 people. The availability of such an amenity not only provides entertainment but also fosters a sense of community among the residents. The well-designed facilities, coupled with the friendly staff we encountered during our visit, made Cactus Valley a standout choice for those seeking a vibrant and comfortable retirement living experience.

This is a great place to move to for seniors. Lots of fun activities and good food, the soft-serve ice cream machine is the best! The staff is super friendly, warm, and caring, apartments and community are clean, well-kept, and absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for retirement bliss, this place is it.

I toured this beautiful community with my grandma and we absolutely loved it! It is so well put together and both the residents and staff are so warm and friendly! The Sales Manager took extra special time and care and made us feel as if we were at home during the entire community. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I have worked with this community since 2019 and it is fantastic. The staff and community itself continue to outdo themselves daily. After touring many communities to find a future home for our parents, we are confident that Cactus Valley is the best place for them. They are conveniently located close to St. Rose Hospital and all of their doctor and specialists offices. Transportation is provided to their appointments and all staff is friendly and professional. Food is fantastic with many selections to choose from. Residents seem to enjoy living here, we had the opportunity to meet with several of them over lunch and they loved talking about how happy they are living here.

I recently moved into Cactus Valley after living in a similar facility in Henderson. The difference between the two facilities is amazing. This apartment is much larger for the same cost. Management and staff have been very friendly and helpful. The food and food service are top-notch here. My maintenance requests have been taken care of by the next day. The residents have been friendly and helpful in introducing me to the various activities and have made me feel right at home. I am very happy that I chose Cactus Valley as my new home.

The staff is very attentive and caring to all of the residents. There are so many activities that you need to plan your day in order to enjoy yourself. The facility is very clean, open, and bright. I am originally from West Virginia and grew up in the industry, as my family owned and operated two skilled nursing facilities; much of my upbringing were days spent at the facilities mowing grass and painting resident rooms. I have a strong dedication to the people I serve each day and I credit that to values instilled by my family.

I graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia with a degree in Healthcare Management and am currently working towards my Healthcare MBA. During my free time I’m either up in the air flying or skiing down the slopes. I volunteer my time with the Civil Air Patrol and the National Ski Patrol. My fiancé, Brandic and I have a 17-month-old son and we also enjoy traveling together.

I was born in Kansas and lived there for 83 years. My husband passed away when I was just 74, so I elected to stay in Wichita in our condo. I had one daughter who lived in Henderson and the other daughter lived in NJ. The girls worried about my living alone, so I began looking in Henderson to be near my daughter. I was most impressed with what I found at Merrill Gardens. I didn’t come easy – in fact I looked here 3 times before I made my mind up to leave my home. But, I finally made the right decision. I feel safe and secure here, and am very happy.


I keep very busy with all the fun activities we have daily. I stay active and volunteer my time to help with newcomers moving in. I still drive to my doctors and shopping needs but if I didn’t, they would provide the transportation needed for such. I’ve made good friends, and I think we have an excellent staff. I cannot recommend Merrill Gardens at Green Valley Ranch enough. And of course, I LOVE being 10 minutes from my daughter.
