Luz Hernandez: without experiencing domestic violence, others were very problematic. My stay was lengthy in result of waiting to be transitioned into government housing; which I ended moving out of state. Nevertheless, I will forever be grateful to S.A.F.E House Inc. and all their staff members that work so diligently, with the purpose of helping battered woman and children like myself and my daughter. To provide us a second chance at life; a better opportunity without living in fear, rather an escape from the hands of cruelty.They provided all resources, such as shelter, food, childcare, all basic necessities, free bus pass to utilize public transportation, and mental health counseling services free of cost. As well as helped collect government aid, for the purpose of gradually integrating us back into becoming civic responsible members of society. PRICELESS PRICELESS: I stayed at living grace for 3wks. I am over the age limit I was 35 with 4 kids CNA job pending and family not acting like family. I reached out with my story we was sleeping in the car. Stephanie gave me a call back and put us in the Rio for a couple days. We didn't go straight to the house because it was dirty by the house mother and her kids. I came in the house with good spirits just tired. Stephanie immediately helped me get my school. Now it was an incident with cps being called saying my children were not in school Wich I had all the proof. The cops were called and me and my kids were booted no question asked. The house mother Shanice had an attitude I never met her but she complained about me and kids for no reason. I'm not a slave and I have 4 children as well clean up after yourself. I worked went to school and took my kids to school. It can be a good program if the house mom would lead and set examples for the girls. Hey Pam ! She's a sweetheart.
Ashley: 2 years ago they took me in and provided me a room to live in for a few month until I found housing during COVID-19 and they still reach out to me and have been supportive.. this year they provided me and my child love and gifts I enjoyed my time with everyone.. This place is amazing and provides a lot of resources to help single mothers. Thank you guys for everything..
Morgan Hill: I was welcomed back with open arms and as was my son. I faced a lot of personal issues during my last stay at living grace even resulting in my being hospitalized for 1 week. Stephanie , Pamelah , Amy and many other staff rose together to care for my son and take him back and forth to my moms and even spending nights with him themselves when my mom was unable. My child is 4 with cerebral palsy
Jada Drayton: I learned a lot being at living grace they give and taught me a lot that I never knew I needed to learn I supper appreciate Ms. Pamelah she helped me with a lot I learned a lot from being around her she became more than a case worker she became a mentor and big sister it was always easy to talk to her and to look up to she helped keep the stress away she help me a lot I'm very thankful for pamelah
Georgina Jones: I use to live at living grace 2015 I was having twins my experience was great. I was able to get on feet. They provided resources my my kids I. Even when I moved out Stephanie has been a great help for me if I need anything she’s always there to provide her services. This is like a second family. My children loves to go visit the children in the second program at Sequoia.. I never regretted going to this program. They teach you a lot about life and give tough love to help you survive in this harsh world. If you choose this place make sure you don’t get caught in the drama and stay focused on getting your life together, because here you can do it if you meet them half way they will do the rest for you just have to want it bad enough.
Kielee Thomas: I received so much support and encouragement at Living Grace during my time there and after I moved out. Living Grace Homes is a place of love and growth. The staff invested their time and love into me and my daughter. And I am forever grateful for that. I am not sure how many of these shelters exist but Living Grace is definitely the blueprint. PERIOD!
khalijah baskerville: I highly recommend Living Grace Homes for young teen and adults who are pregnant and have no home, As a past resident my experience was great! Living Grace opened there arms to me and my daughter there’s so much love there. Thanks to Mrs. Kathleen Miller her wonderful daughter Mrs. Stephanie and there house mother Mrs. Angel I’ve learned the true meaning of being a mother a adult I’ve learned how to make the right choices and steps in life! Living Grace Is more than just a homeless shelter for pregnant woman they’re a blessing in disguise. Still till this day Living Grace Homes will always be family to me! Don’t ever think that because you leave Living Grace Homes that you’re alone they will always be there just how they have been for me.
The NICHE Lady: Amazing place for these girls to get the guidance and support they need so they can succeed!
Curt Friedman: I had the great fortune to be able to help recruit contractors and suppliers where we all came together to perform some seriously needed renovations and updates to help improve the safety and functionality of this home. We expanded/updated their kitchen updated some additional rooms, flooring and added fresh paint which will ultimately enhance the quality of life for the young women who truly need this group home to get a fresh start to their lives with the new, added dimension to life as mothers with young children.
