You could put on several Broadway musicals with their selection. The owners were knowledgeable and helpful and worked with us to figure out the best options for what we were going for.

You do have to buzz the door to be let in during normal business hours which I suppose may be strange for some people but the owners are just trying to keep themselves and their items safe. You will need a mask to enter, it's their business and they have the right to ask this of customers. I keep a mask in my car so no big deal. They are not allowing you to try items on in store due to Covid, but they helped take my measurements and compare to the measurements of the costume and it was a perfect fit so don't let that deter you. The owners were really helpful and attentive. This is definitely not a browse on your own type of place simply because they have so much stuff to look through! Let them know what you're looking for and they will guide you to the right section. I needed a last minute costume for a Moulin Rouge themed party and they had exactly what I needed. $100 rental which included the dress, choker, boa and headpiece. I got so many compliments on my outfit and was very happy with the way it came out especially having to get something on such short notice. This place may not be everyone's cup of tea but I would absolutely recommend them and use them again. Thanks American Costumes!

Alanna Knaus: I have been coming to Juanita for alterations and tailoring for about 3 years now after I needed an audition bikini custom fit - now I bring everything to her, especially bikinis, costumes, or anything with sequins or hard-to-work with fabric. Shes the best tailor I have ever been to, and very reasonably priced for how incredible her work always turns out. Great to work with, even a few times when ive needed an outfit tailored on short notice she gets it done and done WELL. Also nice that theyre open late. If you haven't been before the shop can be hard to find, behind the back entrance to Rhino, but def worth it to seek her out!
