Stephani Christensen, MD, graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in American history. In 2009, she received her medical degree from University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Rush University Medical Center.

All cancers with a special interest in breast cancer and clinical research.

Dr. Christensen is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers where she treats patients with cancer and serious blood disorders. She is actively involved in clinical research having served as principal investigator for many trials.

Dr. Christensen serves as chairwoman of the marketing committee for Comprehensive, helping oversee the practice’s marketing and public relations efforts as well as involvement in the community through strategic partnerships. She currently serves on the Breast Cancer Tumor Board and Breast Program Leadership Committee at Sunrise Hospital and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Oncology/Hematology at UNLV School of Medicine.

She sits on the board of directors for the Culinary Health Fund’s Quality Peer Review Committee and is a former board member of Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada.

Prior to joining the practice, she worked as an oncologist and hematologist at HealthCare Partners Oncology/Hematology. She has co-authored a number of clinical publications and has participated in several poster and oral presentations.

Dr. Christensen received the Healthcare Hero Award for Research from Nevada Business Magazine and has been named 40 Under 40 by VEGAS INC and Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and VEGAS INC Health Care Quarterly. She was also recognized by The American Registry as one of America’s Most Honored Doctors.

Dr. Christensen, a Las Vegas native, is married and has a daughter. She enjoys cooking for friends and family as well as skiing, reading and learning to golf.
