Nicole Lee: I had been going to my prior hairdresser for well over 5-years and a few times she hasn't listened to me about not making my highlights blonde which in turn washes me out around the face and stands out all over my head which I don't like. This prior experience she didn't have the toner sit long enough and it caused my highlights to be very dry and were more noticeable as it looked like I had highlights done. I constantly tell her that I want highlights to look natural but she doesn't get it. I asked her to fix her mistake and she said no and told me to wait 2-weeks for her next opening; this was the last draw. She also knew that there was an upcoming family function but I guess it slipped her mind even though she wrote it down. I can understand a few days but not 2-weeks. Time to get a new stylist and that is what my daughter and I did.My daughter found this place and I called and spoke to the owner and he set me up with Avey. Good news, I only had to wait a week which is much better than 2 weeks given the 2nd week is the family outing and nerves are already going to be at their peak I didn't need anything else to go wrong. The owner told me her availability and I jumped on it even though I was nervous since finding a reliable and well qualified stylist in the area is hard in that, someone recommends someone and then something happens and again your put on hold and your anticipation mounts even more.I showed up for my appointment early as I knew parking was going to be difficult and spots there are tight and very limiting with Tru Bru and the gym next door. I would suggest parking on the side of 7-11 not by the place of business itself. Anyhow, I was relieved to make it on time and met my stylist at the front. She was calming to talk to, I didn't feel rushed accept when I couldn't find the photo immediately to show her what I wanted done. When I explained my main concern she too saw it and was surprised that another stylist left my hair like that. We had a good consult and I felt a bit more comfortable being there than when I first walked through the door. I knew that this place was going to be expensive but I wasn't sure by how much. I was a bit taken back to see what I was charged for a fix up from another stylist considering during a consult prices should have been discussed and they weren't. I didn't ask and I didn't think I needed too because when you go through any consult they are suppose to tell you how much and why and that part was missed.I will say that the owner who scheduled me seemed sincere, he listened on the phone and explained to me the levels of hair stylists in the valley and that he only hires LV4s; refreshing since maybe I will be with someone who can fix these awful mistakes so I can fell more comfortable with myself.Anytime during the consult if I had questions I felt at ease to ask them and not be judged; which is a benefit. I enjoyed the conversation with Avey and getting to know more about her. I will say that this experience is one that I was glad I had. My 5/5 review is for the work that she put forth and an overall good job of fixing someone else's mistakes. She did a very good job at making sure that I was taken care of as a client and that I liked what she did. On the other note, I would give the salon parking and not knowing the prices up front a 3.5/5.Services:Shampoo conditioning,Hair coloring
