Many of you have expressed the need for more transportation options to/from campus. We heard your concerns and are pleased to announce a new campus shuttle service in partnership with Nevada State University (NSU). The shuttles will stop at all three College of Southern Nevada campuses (West Charleston, North Las Vegas, and Henderson), and NSU.

The cupboard is an on-campus service that offers free food and personal hygiene items to students. The cupboard was created to support the whole student by reducing barriers and hardships. In addition to academic support, we understand that access to food and personal care are essential to student success.

With three main campuses in the greater Las Vegas Metropolitan area and several Learning Centers throughout the southern half of the state, the College of Southern Nevada has an ideal location for you to come and get to know who we are. Whitney Ranch Recreation Center/Aquatic Complex is located one block from three elementary schools and one middle school, making it a focal point and a safe place for many neighborhood preteens and teens.


Staff members are motivated, energetic and remember what it's like to be a kid. They help to mentor and guide young patrons through a variety of life-enriching programs designed to teach respect, ethics and discipline and to help kids grow into responsible adults.

The center's many programs and state-of-the-art aquatic complex also make it a welcome destination for families any time of year.

This group meets during the CCSD school year and follows the CCSD calendar year. The mission is to inspire and empower adolescent girls to become positive active citizens of change in themselves as well as their community. Participants will have access to trusting and caring mentors, build powerful life skills through team projects, have access to college and career guidance and much, much more. Participants must be registered for the Whitney Hangout to participate.

This after-school leadership and recreation program/membership is designed for teen participants. The program follows the CCSD calendar year and is in session when school is in session. A monthly membership is required and includes: an after-school snack, leadership workshops, recreation activities (fitness, arts/crafts, dance) and special events. Our goal is to keep participants active, safe, and engaged after school.

Ages 11-18 (6th-12th grade) • 2:00pm-6:00pm • Monday-Friday • $10-$20 per month (depending on session days)
