Lance Pendleton: I recently graduated from American Heritage, and I have to say that the curriculum taught, combined with the atmosphere of love, has truly changed my life. You will not find a staff who is so invested in the success of a scholar as you will here. I personally had five different teachers volunteer to read over my college essays and provide critiques. Students and staff support each other inside and outside the classroom. The sports programs are growing increasingly more proficient, with the girl's volleyball team going undefeated this last season. The curriculum taught calls for scholars to read original founding documents, as opposed to commentary on them. Learning the process of how to reason and think, and not what to think, is a hallmark achievement of American Heritage. The school offers many opportunities for hands on learning. Eighth grade scholars are taken on a trip to visit the historic sites of our nation's history. This summer, we will be going to Zambia in order to provide humanitarian relief. This school has been critical in developing the person I am, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

McKenzie Richards: American Heritage Academy changed my life. I began at the school when I was a fifth grader. My parents took me out of public school because I was being bullied. They also thought I was not tapping into my academic potential - I tested at about average. After a year at AHA, my national test scores went through the roof. My confidence grew, and I learned to love learning. I learned not just facts, but I learned how to learn. I began to read and devour and explore in a way I had never known; a light turned on in my life. Yes, it's the curriculum. Yes, it's the small class sizes. Yes, it's the rigor. Yes, it's the teachers. Yes, it is the environment. Yes, it's the culture. But, in large part, all those factors work together to inspire wonder in the kids who go there. I marveled at the world and my place in it. I desired to know how I could become the next Joan of Arc or Abraham Lincoln.Attending AHA was not a simple exercise of memorization and grabbing grades. When I attended, I didn't know I was soul-searching, but that's exactly what I was doing. You can't find that in just anywhere. It requires a special place, with special teachers, and special lessons. My teachers built me up, and gently nudged me in directions I didn't know I needed to go. I've long since graduated AHA, and I've long since graduated from my undergraduate. I am now applying law school. I often think about my time at AHA. I do not know all the details of what I will do with my law degree. I do know that I want to do something that will make a difference in the world for the better and I attribute that desire to my time at AHA.

Tessa Beckstead: The staff and families that attend this school are amazing. My children greatly appreciate and love all of their teachers. On top of all this, my children have excelled in their learning since being at this school. Not only are there rigorous educational practices at AHA, but there is a good amount of fine arts programs which help my children to become more creative altogether. Overall, I am very happy about the choice my husband and I made to put our children in this school. There is a warm friendly atmosphere here. I like the values being taught here as well: Faith, Patriotism and Leadership.

Go Knights Go 77: This school is the best in the Valley by far. I love the leadership here and the amount of faith and love that fills this school. Ultimately, that is why we are here. My only issue is getting teachers to respond to emails. I work overnight so I mainly communicate via email. My wife has a group text with other moms to ask any questions because they all know the emails wont get answered. Please work on this.

Derrill Vest: American Heritage Academy is a school with vision. I have seen incredible growth with the program these past few years. The teacbers are all degreed and educated and love what they do and it shows. They have high standatds and expect the best from their students. The teachers are always available to answer your questions. I've always been able to contact my child's teacher as I have their email and phone number. Sure problems occur but whenever I vocalize them they are immediately addressed. I love their curriculum and what my child is learning and that my child enjoys school.

ryan elleson: I'm currently in a student teacher program at Pinecrest Academy of Nevada - Sloan Canyon as part of my graduate coursework to obtain my Nevada State teaching license and I feel very blessed to be at such an excellent school. The staff and administration are superb although I am most impressed by the students. Never have I seen students that are so polite and well behaved. What impresses me most is the level of consideration students have for others. I have witnessed countless example of students thinking in terms of others with a sense of empathy and consideration at a level far beyond their years. This leads me to believe that they all have positive role models in their lives.demonstrating a high level of citizenship. I applaud everyone involved parents, students, teachers, and Admin, great job!

Kerstan Hubbs: My son has attended this State Charter School since 6th grade and will be graduating in one year from the Sloan Canyon Campus. There have been ups and downs as the school is brand new and has faced logistical issues due to construction deadlines and projects under construction during the academic year. I have to say, under the Pandemic, the staff and administrators have kept our children safe, continued to operate as smoothly as possible and seem to genuinely care about each child at the school. They have had a few bad instructors or staff members, but they address issues quickly and professionally. I would recommend this school for anyone looking for another option to public school in Nevada. the academics are more vigorous, the school is highly diverse, standards are held high, children are kept safe, and as for older kids...there is no tolerance for bad conduct outside of or near the campus. They are taught to behave themselves and lead the younger children by example. Just my honest thoughts...do not regret applying for this Charter alternative in anyway and recommend it to my friends and family members.

Priscila Krauss: Foothils Montessori is a wonderful school and it really feels like a big family to us.My daughter absolutely loves her teachers. The school really makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience. This is our fourth year there and we couldn't be happier.It brings me joy to have a child that comes home everyday proud of her work and her progress. Best of all, she is happy, and that's the most important thing to me.I did extensive research to find the best school for my daughter and it was worth all my time and energy because I made the right choice. Foothills is the best school in Henderson and Las Vegas without a doubt.

Anoushka Dannin: My son has attended this school for 3 years in the primary program and will continue into the 1st through 3rd grade program. He has he been very successful as a student academically and socially and loves to go to school. He left kindergarten reading chapter books, adding, subtracting, writing and doing multiplication and division. The teachers are outstanding. The staff are the best. It is a second family.

Jason Shin: This is the first year for my two kids at Foothills Montessori. My family can’t be happier so far with the new school. We recently moved to Henderson. My wife and I were a bit worried about their transition at the beginning but not anymore. My kids are happy almost every day except for some Monday mornings. They come home very happy talking about new things they learned every day. All the teachers are so caring, focused on kindness, focused on social-emotional development, and academically encouraging. I don’t think we could have found a better school than this wonderful school with wonderful faculty and fellow parents!

KerryFrances Bourne: We've been at Foothills for 5 years, have 3 kids attending, and it's become a home away from home for our kids, an extension of our family. The teachers and staff show the utmost dedication, even affection, to our children. Not only do they provide a challenging, progressive curriculum, they teach to the whole child, taking into account each child's individual personality, emotional and social development and quirks. They provide interesting and unique educational opportunities: lots of field trips, cultural lessons by families of various ethnic backgrounds, cooking projects, art projects, an International Children's Day where each class is transformed into a different country, and many more. Our children have excelled in Math and Language Studies, but on top of it, they know what Indian cuisine tastes like and the significance of Chinese New Year. Last but not least, we love the diverse, educated, and fun Foothills community of families!

Errors 22: The learning environment may be excellent, but I would like to know if there are any type of staff like school psychologist for the students. If there is, are the students allowed to go to the psychologist at any time they need to. Or any security to help stop bullying of any sort. I know a student that has been having a bullying problem and says there is no one she can turn to. Yes, I know she has the teachers to help her, but my real concern is there any one else she is able to turn to? Is there a library for students to study in or perhaps be in during nutrition and/or lunch breaks? Never the less it is a nice school.

Coby Lyons: Our daughter goes here and we love the school. It's mixed Montessori and "conventional" education methods, but the spirit is montessori. It's one of the best schools in the area.

Audrey Dawn Sartin: Our child has had a wonderful Pre-K year at the Henderson Christian Academy and in the Nevada Ready Program. She has blossomed socially, gained a broader understanding of the natural world, various cultures, society and has learned a variety of communication and problem-solving skills. She has gained confidence, healthy habits and how to work well with others. The teachers and aides are very kind, highly-qualified and well-staffed. The classrooms are full of playful, educational tools where the children learn daily through fun art projects and engaging story time. We are very grateful and pleased with our experience here. A very special thanks to Ms. May, Ms. Pam, Ms. Stephanie and all of the warm and helpful staff at HCA.

Renay McCabe: Before HCA, we had tried one other day care facility and we had so many problems. We were so unhappy and after visiting several others before finding HCA, I was very nervous about enrolling her anywhere. I just couldn't find any place that made me feel comfortable enough. When I visited HCA, it was so different. I felt welcome and like we were already part of a family. I stayed for a while in the infant room, talked with the teachers, and I knew this was the place I could trust to give my daughter the best care. My daughter has now been attending HCA for a little over a year and I am so glad I found them. I love everyone there and more importantly, she loves everyone there! My son was also attending the preschool program for a short period from Spring through Summer this year and everyone was so great with him too. Teachers and front office staff are helpful, accommodating, and communicate well. My son had some special needs and they were great with him and always communicated with me about is care as needed. My review is definitely over due, but well deserved. I would definitely recommend HCA to anyone looking for a clean, happy, welcoming environment that will give great care to your littles!

Guadalupe Mandujano: I have no complaints from this place. Ive changed my kids from daycares a couple times. The last daycare i took them to my son would cry every time i left him. The first week he got a black eye which has never happend with me before. This daycare has treated my kids very good. They helped me potty train my son and they have always worked with me. Not to mention my son is talking alot more as well as his sister. As a mother i honestly can't ask for more.I'd like to just add to the comment only because I noticed that someone said they don't teach anything God related. I just want to state that's a big fat lie. If this parent would have even bothered in checking the child's schedule she would know. I always pick my kids up at different times and have seen then learning about Jesus. My daughter comes home singing Jesus music. So I'm unsure what this parent is talking about. And also yes they put music on for the kids nap time but loud? I'm unsure what this person considers loud. Henderson Christian academy is the ONLY school where I don't have to worry about my kids getting hurt. My kids love the place and half the time don't want to leave it. Front desk is SUPER nice if this parent got an attitude from staff it must have been for a reason. I have seen annoying parents come in and complain about the stupidest thing yet some how they're always friendly and professional about it. I think as parents we forget that your child is NOT the only one. And as far as them not calling her I'm unsure of because as soon as something happens to my child they call me right away all the time. Look my kids have been to 3 previous horrible daycares so I know what an actual bad daycare is. This ain't it.

Chandra Knee-Stepanovich: HCA has been amazing for us for both our 7 month old and our 3 and a 1/2 year old who went to HCA when she was an infant too. The teachers and the management team are great and super flexible and caring, which with infants and busy parents like us, we need as much support as possible. We love this school and our son loves his teachers and smiles every day when we get to the classroom. We can't say enough great things about this program and Ms. Lofton is great at making us feel super in touch with everything happening at the school. Great! just Great!

JP: We have been taking our son there for about 4 months now. We were nervous about taking him to any daycare because he needs a little more attention than other 3 month olds, because of berth complications. They were more than willing to take him on and have been key in his development to this point. Every week I see more improvement from him and I know it has a lot to do with them, and the way they care for him.

Diana Schmitt: My daughter has been enrolled in Henderson Christian Academy. I love this school for so many reasons. First it is so close to my home. Second, my daughter loves the outdoor play area, she has so much fun playing with the chalk, the equipment and the other little boys and girls. She makes so many best friends at school and often will not want to come home because she is having so much fun. My daughter learns so much at the school also, she comes home singing christian songs and her ABC's. Her imaginative play has also increased. I have gone to other daycares/schools but this is the only one were I feel my daughter is safe and happy. The inclusion of hot meals during the day has been a blessing. Now I do not have to worry to pack her lunch. Finally did I mention the uniforms are cute?
