Suzanne Bergfalk: Portions are large....like a burrito the size of a beagle puppy. Everything is delicious, so get your favorite burrito or taco. If you're not familiar with southwestern style food, remember that calabacitas is veggies, like squash and zucchini. Also, smothered means they're putting delicious sauce on top. If you want green AND red sauce just ask for Christmas!

Patrick Jones: Spectacular! Angel was a great server. The food was super good. We really like Mexican and have tried a few around Henderson. There are many average places, but Chavelo's is off the charts.You'll pay around $20 a person, but it's worth it.

Christian Faucher: No name authentic mexican restaurant. Food was great . the staff that took care of us was friendly and interacted with us constantly. The son of the owner even came to enquire about our food when he heard how far we came from. This was a spot that was referred to us by locals and we were not disappointed. Prices are fair for such good food.Kid-friendliness: Brought our kids that our still a little picky about what they eat. The kid menu had options that was more to their taste.
Brandon Paul: First time here on 7-7-23. Was here with family when they first opened at 10am. We live nearby and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise this is. The food tastes all homemade. The service was great. We were attended to but not hovered over. I had a cheese enchilada and a ground beef taco. My kid ate a cheese crisp. We both polished off our plates. Excellent food. And because it matters to some, they have Coke, not Pepsi.

Beauregard Bahnam: I’ve been here a few times now and it’s just fantastic. The tacos are top quality, meat is flavorful and cooked to perfection and the tortillas don’t fall apart. I especially love the asada and pastor. Burrito is great too. The mole enchiladas are on another level. This is one of the few places I haven’t been disappointed in the mole. It’s perfect. The green salsa is just *chef’s kiss.*Prices are fair too. Better than some places that get overhyped.The staff is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is great. This isn’t a place where a non-Spanish-speaker should feel intimidated. Which isn’t to say it’s not authentic, it’s very authentic. Just very approachable in every way. Love it.Kid-friendliness: It is.
Cody Roemen: The food here is some of the best Mexican food I've had anywhere. I come back over and over again. There was a del taco in the same parking lot when this place first opened. There's always been a battle between the businesses in this building and that Del Taco. Del Taco was the undefeated champ for decades. Until this young rookie restaurant stepped into the lot.That Del Taco is now a stripped out shell of a former champ.The street tacos alone took DT down for the KO. Mas takos. Mas Delicious. Mas life.

Alexis Hernandez: I came for the chorizo breakfast burrito after hearing and seeing good reviews. Can honestly say I regret not finding this place earlier. Best chorizo burrito I’ve ever had from a restaurant or that I’ve eaten homemade. And normally I’m a green salsa girl but this place does not disappoint on the green OR the red salsa. Will definitely be going here again to try more things
Triny Green: Wow!! The flavor of the food is amazing! BETTER THAN MY MOMS tacos. And as a mexican you all know thats hard to say! But I have to give respect where its due and this place you can tell the love they put into their food. The service was great. We bought a drink on the side afterwards just to add more of a tip. OUTSTANDING! Definetely found my new go to spot when im craving homemade mexican food.

Annie Bhatnagar: We go here when we have out-of-town visitors. The location by the lake is always pleasant but in the summertime the restaurant is very warm. Not sure if their AC can keep up with our crazy temperatures so get ready to sweat while you eat. The food is a little conventional which I guess is fine for non adventurous eaters. The Chicken enchiladas are good, but sometimes the sauce is a little too bland for my liking. Last time I went I ordered the shrimp Diablo and it was amazing if you like spicy. Good drinks too.
