Austin is a Las Vegas native and he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in Chicago, IL in 2015. Austin played football in college at Southern Utah University where he suffered injuries that required surgery on his shoulder and knee. These experiences helped him to relate to his patients since he has been through the pain of surgery and the recovery process. He knows from personal experience that with adherence to the proper rehab program, patients can return to their prior level of function. Austin enjoys working with all types of patients in the outpatient orthopedic setting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and also has a love for sports.

Rachel was born and raised in Maui. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2014 with a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. She has been working in her chosen profession for over three years and has helped numerous patients return to a healthy active lifestyle. When she is not working with patients, she enjoys spending time with her family.

The ladies at the front desk are externally nice and helpful, Nina and Ashton (maybe misspelling their names, sorry) Will was the person assigned to me. Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork.
