mona melanson: Recently, I relocated to Las Vegas, NV from an east coast state where I’d been insured for years by a different national insurance company. When I asked that first company for a quote with similar coverages for Nevada, they told me it would be over 2.5 times what I had been paying just for moving! What a shock!!!Of course, I started shopping around and spoke with other insurance companies. I was instantly very impressed by the quality of the service and time the Allstate Rep at the Conner Family Allstate Agency in Henderson gave me on my first phone call. She explained why and how she would have to ask me a series of questions to figure out ways to provide me with comparable or types of coverages that made sense for me now that I’m no longer a homeowner needing car insurance and am now in Nevada. Her explanations of her questions and the whys and wherefores of different coverages helped me a lot to make better informed decisions. Car insurance rates and requirements vary a lot by state.As a newcomer, I also learned a lot from my discussion with this Rep about several different ways Allstate provides discounts to safer drivers that my previous company did not. I also like the fact that now I can call the Conner office and talk to the same Rep or another one there to get answers to my questions, even if my Rep isn’t available. Now I won’t have to deal with: an 800 number; a complex phone tree; a long wait on hold; possibly getting disconnected; a different person each time I called who was always in a different state; and often, having a lack of confidence in what I’m told, etc, etc at the previous company. The even better news for me with this local Allstate agency was an over $500 savings for my first six months of coverage as a senior driver with some potential for future discounts when I renew. Thank you for such great personalized customer service rather than the very scripted or canned dialogs I was getting elsewhere. You listened to me, they did not. You may not have had me quite at “Hello” but you did get my business by the time I said, “Goodbye!”
Steve Klontz: I reach the agency just before closing. Bree was just the friendliest, and most personable agent ever. She stayed late - after closing time to quote my policy and then to ensure it was ready to begin in a month. She walked me through the dates of each of my other policies and was very professional and courteous. Bree has a superior way to make a person feel special and valued as a customer. RW Dug: Been with State Farm for years. Even Cheaper then being a member with AARP The Hartford. Where I thought if the Hartford only insures 45 year old plus that it would be cheaper. State Farms rates went up, because of the claims by people from bad drivers. Even though State Farm is less then others. Excellent office staff there. Even though the pricing has gone up. It's still the cheapest. The reason their pricing has gone up is because of motorists how have preventable accidents because they text and drive. Or follow too close .Here in Carson City Nevada. When we have snow they still follow too closely and once they hit the brakes wham! Up goes everyone's insurance rates! People these days are in a hurry to go nowhere fast. SLOW DOWN allow enough room between vehicles. Even more so on snowing conditions!
