Barbara Jean: The first thing I always do before I move into a new rental is check the reviews. And man, the Townhomes had really bad reviews and a lot of them. So I was extremely skittish on even making it an option. But over the years of looking at reviews it just seems like people usually post the negative. And I'm sorry, there will never be an apartment or rental company where everything goes perfectly. It'll never happen.So I chose to stay optimistic and give them a try.I organized an appointment with Kaya and she is the sweetest thing. Took me to see the unit and I absolutely loved the amount of space that I would get. The unit online is a little different from what I saw and would be told I would be getting. I honestly thought I was going to get all-wood flooring and I did not. However, I still signed the lease because I liked the unit.What you get / The Experience / Your ResponsibilitiesTwo beds, 2.5 baths, Two car garage, lots of space, I don't really like the shape of the living room. You can't really do much with it. You can definitely tell the units are older, but renovated. The only thing that was off was the little rust stain over by my front door. I was told that would be cleaned up before I moved in and it was not. Neighborhood is pretty quiet, there are kids that play outside sometimes. Lots of pet friends as well. And I don't think I've ever seen poo on the ground since I've lived here. Overall nice area to walk, roller skate, bike ride etc. and a park is walking distance as well. The company keeps the landscaping pretty clean. And well-kept. I truly feel like this is a safe area to be in and I enjoyed my time here. Trash is picked up Thursdays. There is not a dumpster. And every other week there is a service that will pick up large items as well. You're given 1 recycle and 1 trash bin. They are required to stay inside your garage, so it can be a little tough to fit two cars in there. As far as the amenities, I feel like there are a lot of tenants for there to be just one small pool by the front office. However, it's a vibe and also the gym is small but nice as well.I notice that I get ants kind of often. I've had to call three times. This last time no one showed up. Maintenance is usually pretty fast, however, there are a few things that I have asked for assistance with where they came by but never came back to finish the job, but would say they finished the job in the residential app that we use. Also, the utilities you pay with your rent increase almost every month, and you cannot pay your rent early. You can only pay on the 1st which is a little annoying for me because I like to pay it early. I think they are a little bit too strict on that process. But to be honest, I'm sure they have their reasons.I have now been here a year, management changed to Cushman & Wakefield. Sara is very helpful and looks out for her tenants.My lease has come to an end, and I am currently getting ready to move out to my new apartment, and only moving out due to needing to be closer to work. Living deep in Henderson, and having to work at Summerlin is a tough drive. Otherwise, we would definitely consider renewing the lease.All in all, we had a great experience, and do recommend The Townhomes to those that are okay on the above. Rent is a little on the higher end, but you get a lot of space for the amount that you pay. Try not to feed too much into the negative. I didn't have any issues living here at all. Pretty normal stuff for me. And nothing too extreme to make me give it a bad review.Hope this review helps, happy rental hunting!
