Jack Plaunty: Dealing with the loss of a loved one is never easy. I was worried about the experience for my family during this difficult time. It seems odd, but we looked at multiple providers and their ratings. We planned on visiting a few funeral homes thinking in the what we thought was the "conventional way". Simple was our second stop and we didn't go to a third. Simple showed a lot of compassion and sincerity, which was completely lacking in the first visit.I never want to make someone's final arrangements about money but, the reality is not everyone is prepared. The first stop was like going to a car lot. I want to focus on the compassion of Simple but, they were the best all around.Laura made a connection to the family in the visit to start the process. I was worried for my family as this can be difficult emotionally. This connection and the time she took we invaluable to everyone's well-being. There was some extra work needed to make things easier on the family. Laura, Gabriella and Simple made sure it was as smooth as possible.On the last visit to pick up our loved one, the mood was lighthearted. It was still emotional but, it was so smooth. The family picked remembrance pieces and was able to bring them home. Given everything the family was going through, the whole process of final arrangements could not have gone any better. Laura and the team were exceptional. I want to personally thank them. Although this is their business, they took this personally and it showed. Thank you again.
Alex Mackenzie: I used the office in Henderson and the staff were excellent in every way from the planning to letting me know when ashes were available. I even had a change which they assisted with and made work. All I had to do was contact them when my spouse passed away and they done the rest.I would highly recommend them for the work they do and there prices.

We had decided on cremation for my sister who was in hospice care, and we were gratified to hear that La Paloma had their own in-house facilities for that. He explained the process, answered our questions, offered us many options, allowed us the time to choose which options we thought were best for us and was upfront about the cost which was very fair. We never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision and Richard was helpful and always available to answer any questions I had after my sister passed away, guiding me through the many steps we had to take to see my sister home again with family in the state where she was born.

Blanca Garcia Gomez: The Smith Family are extremely kind people who are very caring towards the families they serve. Nevada has a high cremation rate and it seems like mostly everyone wants to be cremated but no one wants one in their back yard. There are far more other places and types of businesses that I can think of that produce more toxic waste into the environment than a crematory does. The Smith Family is highly respected in town and come highly recommended. I have worked with them several times and they are truly great people.
Mary Alice Melwak: Caring and excellent cremation service for our family member. Ralph was so patient and explained all the details of what was to happen. He was superb in helping us understand the process and provide closure for us. Cannot day enough how excellent the service and Ralph were during a difficult time. paul michels: Purely Irish luck that I chose this company to handle the cremation of my dear brother who passed away. I was handed a long list of funeral service companies at a Las Vegas hospital, I chose them based on the Irish name. They handled the bureaucracy of the death certificate and exceeded the normal service with letters from the health department which was necessary for me to return with his ashes to his homeland in Ireland. Trust them, they're good.

Their pricing was much better than the $6,000 we were originally told we had to pay by another company. McDermott staff was completely helpful, compassionate, and informative. Chris was happy to answer our questions and if they missed your call they would call you right back. They put my dads ashes in 1 large urn and 4 tiny ones for my family as we requested. Everything was wrapped up with care when we picked up my dad. I truly appreciated their help.

Through MANY phone calls from me, they were patient and kind. Amidst the stillbirth of my full term nephew, they showed us amazing compassion and care.I was able to arrange everything via phone, from 2100+ miles away, and they never made a single bit of it harder than it already was. Kudos on their "heartbroken sobs to English" translation system, because I never had to repeat myself before I got it together, either.My nephews mother was battling her way back from pre-eclampsia, and they were able to get all the paperwork done and handled without her having to move from her hospital bed, or bed at home after. Reg G: Had to stop by to visit the grave of Redd Foxx. Couldn’t locate it on my own. Went to the office staff was very friendly. Young Hispanic lady greeted with a smile. Gave me instructions how to get to it. She gave me the form with the GPS coordinates on it.Another employee short middle aged white male gave me some information on Redd Foxx legacy in the area. He told me about the bar he use to go to down the street. Gave me information on his home which is now a doctor’s office.Middle age black guy took me to the graves of Tony Curtis and Robin Leach.Great staff at this cemetery.I specified the races of the employees because I did not get their names. Hopefully and manager that reads these reviews have an idea of the employees I referred to.

DIANE NUNEZ: I did like the staffing, particularly Robert and Cheryl. They were kind, curtious and understanding during the process. However, Social Security and the VA were not notified as I was told they would be and that caused me to have to backtracking, mailing checks back and hours on the phone. This was disappointing since I was led to believe this was part of the service. Cheryl was compassionate and helped with the process to remedy the situation
