Surrounded by steep canyon walls along the Colorado River, Willow Beach is a paddlecrafter's dream destination. Many visitors choose to take a guided raft or kayak trip from the base of the Hoover Dam to Willow Beach, stopping at coves, hot springs and waterfalls along the way. Others drive straight to Willow Beach where you can rent boats or paddlecraft and fish from the accessible pier.
Willow Beach is located 15 miles south of the Hoover Dam in Arizona off of U.S. Highway 93.
From artifacts found along the Colorado River, Willow Beach might have been a prehistoric trading center. The Basketmaker Indians from Lost City started camping at Willow Beach around 250 B.C. In more modern times, Willow Beach became a well-known fishing camp on the Colorado River, and once Davis Dam was built, creating Lake Mohave, more amenities were added like pictured here in 1954.

Joanne Giebrich: Took my grandkids there. Nice place for fishing, swimming. Water was clean and clear. They have barbecues and tables. Highly recommended
s so: Calm, clean and nice place to fish, enjoy a coffee and watch people kayaking. Has parking lot right above the fishing pier.

Lino Amato: Amazing, easy to reach, you still need 4x4 but if you have 4x2 you need walk 5 minutes.
Jarrett Roque: Easy to find if you use google maps. There is a bathroom and a flat open lot before you hit the trail that heads down to the water. There are also dumpsters to throw trash away once you leave the area. Lots of good areas to pull your vehicle up to the water and set up. Depending on your vehicle will depend on what trails you can explore, and where else around the lake you can travel to. Family and I went on a Sunday, and even with other families/groups in the area we had lots of room, and enjoyed our time there.2022 UPDATE: Sadly, this place has dried up and now contains tall grass and coyotes :(

Bella Mann: I wish I could rate 1 star, just to keep people away from this awesome location, but everyone deserves to know about it! Absolutely my favorite camping and swimming spot!Just stay away from dark sand. I see people sink vehicles all the time.
Cody Taylor: This Is a great place to go fishing if you wanna just have a good time the fish are okay sized not too big can be small in some areas but can also find decent size fish very fun place to go with the family an even by yourself for a little bit of get away time an relax for sure would recommend this lake mead. Have fun!
