Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which includes Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, is a unique freshwater diving area. It offers a wide variety of diving environments for both novice and advanced divers.

We use several sites for training dives in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. In Lake Mojave, we use Cabinsite Point. In Lake Mead we use Kingman Wash. We also utilize a few sites along the river for a great variety. There are many different species of fish in the lakes. Largemouth Black Bass, Striped Bass, Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Sunfish and Shad are common in the warmer months.

Observing the Bluegill or Shad swim in large schools is rather impressive. In addition to the fish that are commonly seen in Lake Mead and Lake Mojave, there are several fun man made sites to visit underwater that are easily accessible to both novice and advanced divers.

In addition to the great variety of sites we have available to us here in the Las Vegas area, we do several trips to Utah to dive Sand Hollow Reservoir and the Homestead Crater as well as several trips to San Diego, Catalina and the Channel Islands each year. Being in a central location to these areas, we have an excellent selection of "local" sites to dive that are within a few hours drive.
