Christine K Ross: . This past weekend the Nevada Blind Children's Foundation honored a group of us seniors enrolled in Saint Rose Dominican's Dignity Health "Helping Hands" program by hosting a traditional Thanksgiving dinner! The invitation to dinner was both unexpected and greatly appreciated. The absolutely AMAZING meal consisting of roast turkey, stuffing, every possible side dish imaginable, a freshly-tossed dinner salad, mashed potatoes made from REAL spuds, thick gravy, golden-baked dinner rolls, assorted deserts as well as takeout containers to carry another meal home with us.But by far the most exciting and impressive surprise of all was spending time with the young people aged 9 to 19 to whom we were introduced! The adolescents, each with his or her own level of sight-related challenges, had teamed up to prepare our delicious Thanksgiving feast themselves! For them, in addition to performing a kindness and a community service, their work was also an opportunity to demonstrate just how ABLE and not DIS-abled they are.Credit also goes to the teachers, counselors, and volunteers who are obviously devoted to the young people as well as being wholeheartedly dedicated to the childrens' struggles, their interests, their achievements, their futures, and their happiness.I am ever so grateful for the splendid meal, but also am I pleased to have had the chance to spend time with these extraordinary youths at the NBCF where each of them is encouraged to dream while still working hard to overcome obstacles and make their way in a potentially hostile world. The children rely on the guidance and support from trained professionals and of course their sight impairments must be acknowledged and met head-on, but whatever impairments might there be, they will not allowed to define these courageous individuals.

Michele Raftery: I can’t begin to Thank ANY of the people who makes this place possible enough. What your facility offers these children is so special and even more importantly NECESSARY for the growth and development of visually impaired children. If I could give you a MILLION star rating I would... I look forward to having NBCF as a part of our family for a long time to come.

Blind Center of Nevada: what do users think?

Kevin Oneale: I have hosted many events throughout various parts of the country. This is by far the best place I’ve ever hosted an event. Melinda the Senior Event Manager is the best manager I have ever worked with. She thinks of everything and works to make your event special. For me the little things are really important and she pays attention to those things. I haven’t even gotten to the mission or the look of the place. Not only is this place beautiful, has amazing food and drinks and has great AV capabilities but it also serves the disabled community. It provides individuals with vision impairments with a place to build a sense of community and provides a space for them to do all sorts of activities. Not to mention that they also employ vision impaired individuals. All around the best place in Las Vegas to host an event, honestly I’d even say one of the best places in the country to host an event.

Genevieve Rogers: I am blessed to serve this place

Andrew Dort: and her team crushed every aspect of it. It is a stunning venue

Levi Jackson: This place is great for support and helping the blind. They also hold events at their location and are reasonably priced for the location.
